Isnt asking that generally considered a no no !? Asking if people voted at all would be more acceptable, in light of the low voter turnout in Mumbai and MH. This time the EVM's had introduced the NOTA/protest vote option very quietly as part of the ballot process but my random unscientific conversations across voters from different strata of society tells me that the voter(s) has noticed the NOTA option but yet thinks that is not an effective way of cleaning the candidate system, instead preferring to not vote at all if they dont like a particular candidate which is highly surprising (and a bit of a let-down) considering that the ballot[0] is the culmination of lone voices into a collective roar in any democracy.
