My motivation is somewhat different. I like stimulation, I like doing seventeen things all at once, I'm easily bored and easily distracted. I *like* multitasking but my experience is that when I do two things at once I do them both together faster than I'd do them one at a time, but I do neither of them as well. The "woo woo" part, such as it is, comes from the fact that a lot of my motivation and practice for this comes from sitting meditation (zazen.) When you sit, you just sit (shikantaza). It's been very hard for me, but I've found it valuable, and as part of that practice I'm trying to extend it to other parts of my life. So I *can* multitask, I *like* multitasking, but I've chosen to single task. -- Charles
