I'm not certain, but I may have first read of Silklist in Christopher
Kelty's book "Two Bits - The Cultural Significance of Free
Software"(2008). It so happened that Udhay and I had some mutual
friends, including Keith Dawson of "Tasty Bits from the Technology
Front"& Slashdot fame, and somehow or other I got invited to join.
I participated a little bit for a few years, but in recent years I've
mostly lurked. I still read many of the posts and consider it a high
honor to be deemed worthy to be counted among this estimable cohort.
Perhaps as 2021 rolls around I'll get a little more engaged once again.
