I've never been a King fan (not the writing; the horror genre doesn't
appeal to me), but thanks to a friend who loved his work, I wound up
reading a lot of his introductions, which I liked. So my friend then gave
me a copy of his 'On Writing,' which greatly influenced my own writing
journey.
