I like Top Ramen soup, but there isn't any that doesn't have MSG in it.
That stuff acts like a dose of amphetamine on me, not that I mind...at the
proper time of day. [I'd actually rather have a few crystals of Meth in the
morning coffee than caffeine..no jitters or headaches with Meth and it
still adds that 'bitters' hint to beverages that caffeine free coke and
coffee lacks ]
I spent HOURS looking for MSG free dry noodle soup, a no go, doesn't exist.
But in the process I discovered something very interesting:
There are virtually NO foods that don't contain MSG, be they totally
organic and unprocessed or not, animal or vegetable.
MSG is, in fact, a natural and nearly [maybe totally] unavoidable
elemental flavor .
That is why labels read, No MSG ...."added"
It DOESN'T mean there's no MSG and it all comes down to "how much".
If you want to have an MSG ["natural flavors" ] free diet, you'll probably
just have to stop eating, or resort to totally artificial and/or absolutely
refined foodstuffs.
