I agree with many of your ideas and those of Faith also.
It is easy to eat less meat or zero meat if one eats seeds, nuts, and
foods with fats in them. I eat coconut oil and peanut butter mixed
50/50. Honey and Cinnamon can be added.
It is nothing to do with food or what I am supposed to eat, but just the
thought of all the animal suffering that goes with eating meat that makes
me wish I could be vegetarian.
Many people worry about this and simply don't understand the situation.
I know animals in the wild suffer when they are killed, but it is
nothing like the continuous suffering which the human inflicts on them,
Do you think hunters beat them to death or choke them?
The good hunter, and the technical hunter does not make animals suffer.
The guns I hunt with will all hit a playing card at 200 meters and
beyond. That is Instant death.
I killed one buck, shot him in the head, broke his neck, and cut the
jugular vein with one shot. This one shot killed him 3 times in about
1/10 second. I doubt there was any suffering.
This was with an old primitive firearm called a "Muzzle Loader".
Modern Firearms can do better but not always.
Many bow hunters use a chemical agent, one used on humans, that is near
instant death with zero suffering. I have a file on this on my website if
anyone is interested.
In addition, animals do not experience pain like humans do.
In the wild, animals fight to the death, have accidents, and are torn apart
by predators. This has been happening for thousands of years. I doubt
that you or anyone needs to worry about this or even be concerned.
Animals were designed for Animal eat Animal, and they eat each other
alive, every day.
Can you offer a single example of this "Excessive Suffering" theory?
It can't be any worse than humans experience everyday.
Now I know, ........... you can think about thousands of examples of
"Excessive Suffering" in humans.
