I purchased a 13.5/30v 1000mA power adapter from Radio Shack, part #273-1668. I hooked it up with alligator clips to my gold wires. My attempts to arc in distilled water resulted in the wire disintegrating in the areas where the arching occurred. I switched to the 13.5 setting and was able to complete the process successfully. I then made a batch of CS using the 30v setting and made a batch of clear CS with good tyndal, had little treeing on the wires. Conclusion; This power adapter can be used to make CS and CG by changing wires and technique as mentioned above. Caution: Be careful as mentioned in earlier posts this amount of current can give a dangerous shock.
