methods.

desired behaivors, the same type of training many dog trainers use to shape
new behaivors.

Koi can be puppy-friendly given kind treatment.  I read about a koi keeper
that had one who always was interested in what the keeper was doing,
following him as he did pond maintenence.  It would bump into his hands and
even swim into his cupped hands.  This eventually escalated to the keeper
tossing the koi out into the pond and the fish would swim right back into
his hands to be tossed again to the delight of any visitors to the pond.
