We were in a hurry and I can't say that we had put a whole lot of thought into the process. We did have some backup ideas in case the oral use of the silver wasn't practical. She was prepared to use an ultrasonic humidifier to get CS in through the lungs or, as last resort, give the puppy a CS enema. In retrospect, my wife's idea of adding Pedialyte to the silver was a great idea, although she didn't know why. The electrolytes in the Pedialyte speeds up the absorption of the ionic silver into the body which is what I was looking for.. Using Pedialyte, I would have tried a 3:1 mix of EIS to Pedialyte and used a small sprayer bottle to lightly coat the mucous membranes of the mouth periodically. Like Dee suggests in her post. Personally, I would have doubled the grapefruit seed extract (GSE) in the mixture. Don't worry about the silver citrate. It is convenient sometimes as you can generate a high ppm solution for storage. But I still dilute it when I use it. In this case I thought it might be better to use and frankly we thought we didn't have much to lose. The owners could not possibly pay for vet care and we weren't sure the puppy wasn't already past saving. We were lucky. - Steve

That is really cool..though. ----- Original Message ----- From: Fuzzmom <mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, July 21, 2009 1:22 PM Subject: Re: CS>CS for Dog Parvo what is "citratw and Gse?" Could have been Parvo or corona which acts about the same...wow..wish I had hadyou around about 3 months ago...I spent over a grand with a pup at the vets..he's ok but I never knew an;ything Natural could get rid of those types of viruses..too cool!! ----- Original Message ----- From: Norton, Steve <mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, July 21, 2009 11:11 AM Subject: CS>CS for Dog Parvo Just an FYI. My wife called me at work several days ago and said a friend had a small 4 month old terrier that had Parvo. A sibling from the same litter had just died of Parvo and this one had all the symptoms. She described the puppy as unable to stand, wouldn't eat or drink and had constant vomiting and diarrhea. I told my wife where she could find some silver citrate and GSE. I chose silver citrate over EIS because the puppy wouldn't drink or eat and I felt that it would be easiest to try putting a drop or two of a concentrated SC under the tongue than to get it to drink EIS. My wife made her own modifications to my suggestions and mixed together 12 oz of Pedialyte, 5 drops of GSE and enough SC to have about 60 ppm of silver in the mixture. They put half a dropper full of the mixture in the mouth of the puppy every hour and my wife said the puppy started getting better almost immediately. After 4 hours it was able to stand and drink water. And the next morning it was playing almost as if nothing had happened. It has been two days now and the puppy is still ok They will continue to give the puppy some of the mixture twice daily for the next 3 to 4 days to be sure. - Steve N ________________________________ No virus found in this incoming message.
