I do not discount that some people do get argryia, just like some of
us have grey fingernail moons. But even if adding the few that got
real argryia and those of us with grey nail moons, there are very few
of us. So I have to believe there is something else going on. Maybe
it is just a question of quantity and duration of ingestion, or maybe
it really is individual or diet, or who knows what.
I have grey nail moons, I drank between a pint and a quart a day of
my homemade CS (10-15 ppm, no additives) for approx 2.5 years. I
never got any grey or blue in my face, but several years after
stopping that level of CS ingestion, I still have the grey nails.
If there wasn't something besides quality of CS ingested, quantity
ingested, how long intake continued, then doesn't it seem there would
be a far larger number of cases of argyria?
Did you stop drinkiing CS as soon as you noticed any greying of your face?
With my nails, I just didn't notice for a long time, until they were
very dark, and all fingers involved. I no longer drink CS on a
regular basis, but when I need it (severe diarrhea, etc which happens
rarely), I don't hesitate to drink as much as it takes. And I still
mist my face/eyes and inhale CS every single time I come in from
being in public. I also spray it inside my mouth at such times, and
use it as mouthwash nightly, swishing and holding it as long as I
can, now I don't swallow it though.
