They really prefer to be sick than put up with a little metallic taste?!?!? Personally I like the taste.
One alternative is to spray it -- into their faces, noses, eyes, mouth (have them inhale it), head, back, anywhere on the body really. It will get absorbed through the skin. They can hold some in their mouths for a minute or two, and then spit it out, and quick take a drink of something sweet. I also know people who won't take it because it doesn't taste sweet.
