Hi Mike,
If I wanted to detox from mercury I would find a Bowen practitioner. I have
seen how the body can detox mercury after a Bowen treatment. There is a simple
test. Before the treatment urinate into a paper cup and drop in a copper
penny. It should stay copper colored. Wash and dry the cup and penny. Get a
Bowen tx. Get off the table and immediately urinate into the cup again and
drop in the penny. This time it should turn silver. Something about the
attraction between the copper and mercury (atoms/ions/molecules???... I'm not a
chemist :-)) I have seen this happen with my own eyes so I know it works.

I would also imagine it is a good way to test any mercury detox program you may
be on... but I don't know for sure.

Good luck.

Magnesium chloride is disruptive if you are eating cooked food. If you want
to flood the zone more quickly then try going on a raw only diet for five days.
Lots of fresh juices. I have done this. Watermelon is great and you can juice
the rind. I drank rind juice with one teaspoon of MgCl flakes in it each
morning. That's how I got up to speed on magnesium. Now I use the mag-oil
externally

    Hi folks,

The long-timers know that I have been battling with the consequences of
mercury toxicity after having a dozen amalgam fillings placed in my
mouth over a period of 30 years, and then removed in June of 2006.

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was following three separate oral
supplement protocols for iodine, digestive support, and a series of
herbal and non-pharmaceutical antifungals to fight yeast overgrowth,
plus a smattering of other supplements.

It was a LOT of pills to take every day, all day, and of the three
protocols, the antifungals were showing the least results -- as in
none. So, I basically stopped everything except the digestive
supplement while I reassess and decide what to do next.

Well, in the process I discovered what a bad magnesium deficiency feels
    like!

Over a week ago, I started to get a sore right shoulder, right about on
the top front area of the rotator cuff. It got gradually worse each
day, until it became quite painful to raise my arm even to shoulder
height. Over the last day or two, it worsened, spreading down my arm to
the elbow and even the wrist.

By last night the pain and soreness was constant and I barely slept. I
couldn't find a comfortable position for my arm and shoulder no matter
    how I tried.

My other arm had also started to exhibit the beginning signs of the
same thing, and one of my knees even started to give me twinges as
    well! Time to do something!

Just a few weeks ago I'd suggested my wife start taking magnesium for
her sore shoulder, elbow (bell ringing injury!) and plantar fasciitis,
based on things I'd read here on the list about it's benefits for
connective tissue health. This continues the longstanding tradition of
people here bringing up useful subjects just when I seem to need to
    hear about them! <salutes>

So this morning I dig out her bottle of Magnesium Citrate and the
carton of Emergen-C! After six capsules of the former and eight packets
of the latter, spread throughout the day, and definitely hitting the
bowel tolerance level already, I am pleased to report that my pain this
    evening is much reduced.

I should be able to sleep much better tonight.

There are other supplements I need to start or restart, which I'm still
evaluating, but it's obvious that magnesium is on the short list. I'll
probably mix up some more "magnesium oil" (saturated solution of
magnesium chloride in water) and get back into using that for
    transdermal absorption as well.

So, thanks for last month's discussion of magnesium, folks!

    Be well,

    Mike D.
