You can put CS into plastic bottles--I do, and so do a lot of other 
people--with no detrimental effects.  I 'make' it in a glass jar though and 
then leave it for a few days before decanting into plastic.  I have found that 
when I heat the water first (home distilled) it actually brings the ppm up 
higher (ascertained on a TDS  meter) and it doesn't drop so low.  I found that 
in the same time of brewing--up until the Pup turns itself off--the TDS reading 
was 10 instead of 8 and it dropped to 5 instead of 4 after using slightly 
heated water instead of cold.  I heat it by standing the distilled water in its 
jar - in a pan of hot water.  dee
