Hi, I joined your list several weeks ago and have been trying to get up to speed on the various applications of CS. This morning when I looked at my cat, I noticed her eye was entirely white and cloudy and very weepy. I thought I was seeing her third eyelid. I took her to the Sunday emergency veterinary clinic. The doctor said she had torn a flap on her cornea and what I was seeing was massive ulceration. He sent me home with an ointment with oxytetracycline HCI to use 3 times per day. I am to see my regular vet in the morning. I am wondering if this sort of open eye wound would respond to CS dropped in the eye. Does anyone know if I should include MSM in with the solution? Does anyone have any experience treating an eye tear with either or both on animals or humans? I have looked at the archives (which BTW are great), but I didn't find anything that pertained to an open wound.
