Thanks to those who responded to queries concerning my cat. She is at the 
vet's right now. This doctor said her eye is white because of extreme edema 
and the cornea is on the verge of rupturing, in which case, her eye will have 
to be removed. 
He believes her condition is caused by some virus, not as a result of injury. 
He is first going to try to debride her eye, then possibly sew it shut for 2 
weeks if he feels it might be saved.
I asked his opinion about CS and surprisingly he seemed open to it. He felt, 
however that we had no time to dally with the eye at this point. I plan to 
keep putting it in all my pets'  water and to treat the ailing cat with it 
when she is once again at home. I will keep you posted.
