Hi There Mike, as stated, the problem with this process is the quality  
of the distilled water, if that base
is good then the rest will follow, I produce mine without any  
problems, use nothing to change any
discoloration cause I do not have any - due to the fact I am more than  
careful with the quality of the
distilled water, in fact I double distill - yes it takes time, however  
the end result is what I am interested
in - when I made EIS in Australia I was able to get Refresh distilled  
water which was made for the kidney foundation which was absolutely  
flat 00000 - I was invited to go around the factory and what a
show piece - it is in Perth and well worth the trip !!!!    I have  
brewed mine to all ppm however for ingestion I use not higher than 10  
ppm - for my gel that is another story, it goes as high as I choose  
because it is not for ingestion but for topical use !!!!   That is my  
story !!!
