I would say buy a distiller on a well known auction website and look to pay upto 200 dollars max but remember to double distill it makes all the difference
I clean with vinegar or liquid washing up soap that doesn't have any special technologies that leave any residue and then give a final rinse with single distilled water and I use a green plastic slightly abrasive pan scourer with no cleaning agents to scrub with. I understand that the washing up soap has salt in it which May react with the silver to produce a compound on areas the two have met. But I use it anyway as it has the best cleaning result Perhaps our more knowledgeable members could help me understand this whether this is true or not.
