The people that I write a check to, for the most part, have already given me something: money to buy a house, a month's worth of electricity, the money to purchase an automobile to drive, merchandise from a store, etc. Paypal has not *given* me anything -- they are simply transferring funds from an existing credit card to a seller. And they are paid a fee to do this. The bank that issued the credit card -- they're entitled to my banking information because they have paid bills on my behalf in advance. Also, anyone that I have given a check to likely does not record my bank account number -- they are more interested in the numbers that I write on that check -- nor are they able to access my bank account for anything more than the amount of the check, which they're entitled to. There's a distinction here -- an important one, in my opinion. I will look for an alternative to Paypal when the time comes. I think everyone has there own comfort level with things. Jaxi On Fri, Oct 19, 2012 at 1:22 PM, MaryAnn Helland <[email protected]> wrote: I have too, Dee -- years and years. Becoming verified is optional until you reach the ten thousand dollar limit. Then it becomes mandatory. I preferred to use Paypal too, and I'm very upset about all of this. But I will not provide them -- or anyone else -- with my bank account numbers. When I get to the point where they refuse to process payments for me, then I'm going to have to find an alternative. >MA > -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
