Truly the only thing that helps me is to refocus on helping others. Then I
remember I am not here for me, I am here to give my life away
in meaningful ways, we can't take anything with us, so much of what we
have, strive to get, and keep is merely distraction and entertainment.
I like my stuff too, don't get me wrong, just have to keep it in
perspective.
I think for a lot of us, it is the feeling of powerlessness that eats at
your guts. Finding a way to reclaim your power, not of what you can not
control
but of your personal reactions to what happens to you. Don't let it all
sweep you away with fear. I often think with more stress on all of us we
just
may have to start talking to each other again, and cooperating and sharing.
Just this morning there are snowblowers up and down the block everyone
doing their own little driveway. Makes more sense for some to share
and take turns, but we are so insulated from each other these days.
