I just got over shingles in May and it was so severe. The pain was like
someone was ironing my skin and inside of me was like being sliced by a
blade. Blisters and lesions were many.

For the itch and pain I went to buy Westinghouse Infrared light 250W and the
aluminum shade with ceramic socket from T&S farm supply - brooders section,
less than $20. I heated the lesions for 20 minutes everyday. The itch
greatly subsided then disappeared. I drank anti viral teas and added
chapparal tinctures and Chinese star anise tincture (which I luckily made
last March). Then "soup" was applied on the lesions and blisters which is
made of 50-50 colloidal silver and Swedish bitters + 1 TBSP DMSO; while
still wet, I put BORAX powder and covered it with pad and plaster so
medications stay. Yup, that borax dried up the blisters quickly. Also, I
cleaned the area with colloidal silver and let it dry. The lesions took a
long time to dry up but we continued treating it. Also took
Cimetidine/Tagamet so it does not affect my organs. When I took tagamet,
the slicing feeling in my inside stopped immediately, specially the stomach.
It took three weeks to heal. MD said it would take 1 month to a year to
heal coz it has many lesions and because of my age. Also he told me to
expect pains under the lesion scars and that this can be permanent. I now
have pain, in the beginning from near the outbreak beside my spine all the
way to the belly button. Like half a belt including hips. I took
antiviral, used red laser, violet ray, and Rife frequencies using shingles
and herpes zoster settings. It is now almost gone. I found out recently
that Chinese star anise is anti bacterial, anti viral, and potent anti
fungal and works very well for herpes and shingles is herpes zoster. Use
only Chinese star anise, Japanese star anise is poisonous. Star anise was
used mainly for cooking in Asia. All above methods were learned from advice
of members from different yahoogroups. So I compiled them and passed on to
you. Hope it helps.
