I have rigged mine up to my Sota brand machine with alligator clips. Mine don't seem to have had any coating at all. Nothing different from the wires I was using. My question is, they hardly hang into the water at all and it seems to take longer. Of course I have not picked up any way of measuring just what I have gotten from them in the water. The size of alligator clip needed to hold them securely effectively leaves me with only half a coin exposed. Any ideas for better machine to use them with or way of suspending them? The only other thing I can think to do would be drill a hole and hang them into the water on silver wires! Which kinda defeats the purpose of not wanting to be buying silver wire. Thanks for any ideas! Val
