As people are pointing out, wheat (and other grains) are a source of
several problem, some of which can be overcome:

 - the glyphosate (Roundup)
 - other contaminants and chemicals
 - gluten intolerance
 - gluten allergy
 - anti-nutrients (phytic acid, etc)

Avoid processed foods, use only trusted grains that are soaked and
sprouted, and you can almost completely eliminate all the above problems.
Of course, if you can actually avoid grains completely, you also eliminate
the problems. However, that is a difficult challenge to maintain for a
lifetime, and grains are an excellent source of nutrition if processed
correctly.

The last problem is arguably the worst, and yet most of us are unaware of
it. Wheat Belly is great, Paleo is great; however, for a lifetime of eating
I think the Weston Price guidance provides the greatest chance of success
and superior health. The Weston Price guidance also encourages more
ecological and sustainable living. If you have done Wheat Belly, GAPS,
Paleo, etc., I hope you will consider researching the work of Dr. Weston A.
Price. You will find it well worth your time.
