Hi Sandee, lovely to hear from you, I believe our water contains all sorts of contaminants ie the reading of 350 or thereabouts before distilling. I believe it contains chlorine etc., but even so, it still reads '0' after distilling. I realise also that the meter is not accurate per say but accurate enough for that I would think. The CS I make is always, without exception, clear. I can go up to thirty but don't, I normally have it about 15.
