I'm a Lymie Lab-rat. In 1970, I was pregnant and taking dolomite regularly as
alternative health folks suggested at the time. Never had morning sickness,
heartburn, swollen ankles, or any other symptoms that beset pregnant women,
UNTIL, one OB. in rotation, said that 'taking rocks isn't indicated', so I
stopped. The whole next month, I had all those little issues, Mentioned them to
my next OB who suggested I take Tums. You guessed it: they're calcium and
magnesium. I soon switched over to refined supplements, instead. Glad i did, as
years later, dolomite was reported to contain some not-so-great-things, but
that basic mineral combo served me well and, despite having chronic Lymie, my
mag levels are normal.

Be well,
Léna
