Right on John. Harbor Freight Tools frequently offers one of the meters about as you described, free with a coupon and any purchase. If one of their stores is located near Kelly, it might be a good way to get a meter. I prefer my Fluke77 Digital VOM I've had for over 30 years; the only problem ever was the leads broke!
