<grin> Had a similar experience with DH. Wouldn't drink milk from the goats, said it tasted weird. One night, I was out of cows milk, and gave him goats milk without telling. Hehehhe. Never noticed. Goats milk is much better than cows milk at picking up off tastes and odors though. It is really REALLY important to milk in a clean place, with no buck around. If a strong smelling buck is in the same room as the milk, even without touching it, the milk will pick up a "goaty" smell and flavor. The unfortunate problem with any information on milk now a days, is it is all based on studies of homogonized, pasteurized milk. Both processes drastically change the structure of the milk in small ways, that are detrimental to the nutritional benefits. Fresh whole milk (unprocessed) is actually a fine food product, and it's vitamins and minerals easily absorbed into the body. In fact, in some studies, people with milk allergies, are not allergic to fresh whole milk. Goats milk is closer in substance to human milk, and makes a perfect substitute, (far better than formulas) and works great for rasing orphaned puppies and kittens as well! Last year we raised lambs, goats, puppies, and a calve on goats milk. (as well as our children) All grew amazingly! Goats milk! THe new miracle food!
