Why anybody would want to drink glasses of [milk] is beyond me (duck!). Dear Ivan,
Thanks for the answers. No wonder Dr. Rheams said calcium supplementation, the right one, was so important. So...why milk...ahem... I have experimented greatly to find a diet that works at least to a good degree for me. What I am doing now combines info from Biobalance by Rudolph Wiley, the glycemic index, gluten free foods, Dr. Swank's MS diet.. all in all it is not totally where I want to be, but it is working for me now. In both Wiley's and Swank's diets nonfat dairy plays a part. Wiley has two very different diets for two different blood pH types, and many variations in between. After MUCH trial and error I have found I do okay on one of his diets with a bit of the other thrown in. The one that works for me is nonfat dairy, lean white poultry and fish, fruits and veggies and grains. No or little seeds, nuts, beans. And not some fruits and veggies, or only at certain times of the day. So...add in Swank. No dairy or meat fat. Nada. Okay. Glycemic index next. Choosing foods lower on the scale and eating more often. Gluten free grains only. Right now quinuoa and amaranth...millet has a high glycemic index. Just discovered buckwheat is gluten free. I don't drink milk, but I eat nonfat mostly organic yogurt. I eat it in the morning on grain. I use it as a topping. Got any other suggestions? Nuts and beans not on the Wiley diet, so no almond milk or soymilk... Right now this diet is working better than anything I've tried in a long time, but I am definitely open to improvement... I would love to drink raw organic goat's milk (Bernard Jenson has a whole book raving about it) but I find it is too much fat. The fats I do use are organic olive oil, avocados, and sometimes tahini or a whole organic egg. ~^^V^^~ -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
