Dear Suzy,

Not only is co-Q-10 very safe(it is in you right now or you would be dead) It
is essential to all life processes and without it life ceases. Your body
makes it our of other co-enzymes in your food. But the ability to make
your own declines with age. When your bodies concentration fall to or
below about 25% death rapidly ensues. Usually from heart failure.

The local incidence of heart failure in humans and pets in your area is of
great concern. I need to know the ages of the pets, the breeds, and the
diets they were and are on. Same for you and your neighbors. What part of
the country do you live in? What types of industry are near by? If a
rurual area, what types of agriculture. Heart disease is 100% a
nutritional issue in most cases. It is rare in animals. The infective
link is not off base. A number of heart problems are caused by hidden
infections. The usual scenario of the hidden source is asymptomatic tooth
abcesses. The medical profession and dental profession proved this link
back in the 1930's but have conveniently seemed to have forgotten. Take
my daughters father-in-law. 10 days ago he had a heart attack while
playing soccer with his grandchildren. This happened following several
years of chronic infections of a respiratory nature, and what was thought
to be stomach ulcers. Then a few days before this heart attack, he had
"9" teeth pulled, 2 of which were badly abcessed. The link between stomach
ulcers and the bacterium known as H. Pylori has been well established and
about 5 years ago the American Heart Association (probably with their arms
twisted behind them)announced that a strong link was being found in some
research between h.pylori and recurring artherosclerotic plaques in the
arteries.

It used to be thought that persons who had ever had rheumatic fever needed to
go on antibiotics days before dental work and stay on them for days
afterward for concern that the dental work would stir up infection that
would travel to and damage the heart. But more and more research is
showing that you don't have to have a rheumatic heart to get bacterial
damage to it from dental work.

IN addition to my other suggestions for you, you should probably up your
intake of colloidal silver, add in olive leaf extract, grapefruit seed
extract, get Clark and Beck zappers and hook up everyday for a while.
Some of your other problems and those of the dogs could be addressed by
going on a live food diet, meaning uncooked. Some nutritionists call
arthritis "cooked food" disease.

One little anecdote before I stop. There were a number cats in New York many
years ago who all lived in the same area of high-rise apartments. They
were all getting cardiomyopathy. When a number of vets did research into
the cause, the conclusion was these were all cats on the same types of
commercial cat foods, and no access to any natural prey such as birds and
mice. It was found the cause of their cardiomyopathies was a deficiency in
the amino acid L-tarine. It seems it was being leached out of the
commercial cat food by the process. The cat food industry was informed of
this and they began adding L-taurine back into their product and the
epidemic of kitty heart failures was stopped in the highrises of New York.

So, tell me more about your neighborhood and what everyone eats and does and
so ona nd maybe we can all do a little medical "detective" work here on the
list.
