Hi Barb: Thanks for your help, will copy and paste the important parts so I
don't forget anything.

<< I get the
feeling you and your husband have succummed somwhat to a sense of
helplessness and not a little despair. You only sound like you are clinging
to hope by a slender thread and seem to have almost really given up. Guess
what? You are not old. The face of aging in this country is changing. Today
is the first day of the rest of your lives which can be longer than your
parents and grandparents ever conceived of as being possible. >>

Naw, we haven't given up, and don't feel hopeless. Infact we have a lot of
hope, not only in the options available, but in being able to resolve
whatever is going on, not only for ourselves, but for the others around us.
Sometimes I am a little slow, and think that results from the lack of
physical energy, which can sure slow the brain down too.

"Also regarding dental problems, I have been told by people in the
alternative
field that supposedly there can be deep pockets of infection that resist
detection. A good biological dentists can do x-rays that can usually pick
up these sneaky hidden infections."

No joke. We have both just done the dentist thing, and the bad teeth I had,
were removed. Hubby had a very extensive evaluation too and we were not
able
to find anything in his mouth, that could indicate a problem.

"Were I you I would get on coQ10 immediately, shove it down my husbands
throat, and the dogs. "

We want a replacement for the Atenolol as we pull him off it, as there can
be
some real nasty side effects with abrupt withdrawal of this drug. The
coenxyme q10 is a great option and we will be doing this shortly. Research
indicates few problems with this and the trials indicate some real
advantages
(posted on something else here). We have done some price comparisons
locally, and will go tomorrow to get some (its 110 heat index today and heat
and humidity hate us).

"But I don’t think Terriers
are more prone to heart problems than other breeds. That suggest some
infective agent. I would also add whole cloves of garlic to his food, maybe
stuffed inside of a hamburger pattie."

They have been getting CS in their water now for about 3 weeks, and have
been
given large amounts of garlic since this spring. We also found out
mosquitos and fleas HATE a dog that smells like a giant garlic clove and
don't even come close. My guess is also an infective agent, one not easily
detectable by standard blood work (have concerns about mycoplasmal
infections
but no one tests locally - and its very expensive). Since being on the CS
Bud (the dog) is retaining a lot less water, and is breathing easier. He
also gets vitamins (vita-sol from the Home and Farm designed for electrolyte
balance).

We also eat cayenne pepper on a LOT of stuff, and our dogs do not eat store
dog food, never have. They eat rice (home cooked) and table food, but do
eat
some commercial dog biscuits. Bud curiously loves vegetables and fruit. We
do not eat a lot of meat.

We have always thought we were living pretty healthy, and have continued to
do so inspite of the health problems. We were in GOOD health, before
whatever-it-is hit us. My guess is that it has to be viral or bacterial,
because of our sick dog, and other pets in the area who have become sick
with
some identical symptoms. I am not sure if it is a mutation or something
previously undiagnosed. Those affected seem to be in clustered areas. Lyme
disease is also a possibility in this area. I would like to find a few good
scientists (not necessarily doctors) in the area, who can examine blood
microscopically, from multiple sources, to get an accurate scientific
assessment of what is going on. Am not particularly interested in the
political conspiracy disease stuff, but prefer a scientific approach.

Barb, again thank you.
