Marshall,
Aspartame is a GE food, produced using E. coli. This was published in
a London newspaper on the same day there was a Royal Family crisis and
the info was lost in the mist...

There have been so many 'accidents' with GE contamination that I am
most suspicious of the addition of beta-carotene or claims about
ending world hunger. Money on this research would be better spent
transferring a safe surplus food [non GE] that is of the same kind and
type of the normal nutrition of a starving nation. Look for removal
of the cause before introducing a new problem-cure!

There are three European countries that produce more animal fertilizer
than their country's land can absorb or use - export this instead
(plus minerals)! Holland was one of those three countries. Therein
lies the problem - a lack of natural fertilizer and soil minerals.
[Mind you, the fertilizer would probably be full of chemicals, but GE
is not chemical free either.]
