I prefer the stirrer in the center of the brew cell for LVDC, but in my HVAC
model it is offset near one edge because I use the center for an adjustable
electrode. As Ken said it really gets the water moving.

They all work very well. Actually the little Radio Shck $0.99 motor running
at 1 1/2 v stirs up a storm so I put three 10 ohm resistors in parallel and
add that in series with on motor lead. When the batteries get old the  motor
wont start so I momentarily short the resistors and the little thing starts
right up.
