We have had the same extreme pre Jan-Feb in the southern hemisphere - only in reverse - we have had extreme heat - we were innocently enjoying spring until Wham! Nov 1st and temperatures skyrocketed!
I dislike the +40 degrees heat at any time - but before Feb is insult to injury! I shudder to think what Feb will be like! My contact in Argentina says she has had similar early very hot weather. Remember I'm in the bottom of the middle of down under - east coast areas [Qld, NSW and some of Victoria - we are separated by a wide of hills from the east] have had extreme flooding in the same time span. I swelter - you freeze - you can put more clothes on - I can't take anything more off!
