The FDA restriction applies directly to milk cows. [never could figure out why] ...maybe the milk will have a longer shelf life and reduce sales? Another possibility might have to do with babies not getting sick enough to develop their natural immunities. Remember that the FDA is not a direct enemy aimed specifically at you, just a misdirected entity aimed by special interests of many stripes and hung up on justifying it's existance like every bureaucracy ever formed.
"We" as a population don't know what's good for us, so we depend on power structures to control 'every one else' without considering that those created powers don't know any more than "we" do and that as an individual seeking to control behaviours of others, those power structures backfire, winding up controlling those who sought to control. People are just too diverse to be lumped into general right and wrong catagories. A "WE" is an erronious presumption from the get go. Product labeling should be the extent of the FDAs power...never mind those who refuse to read. The FDA, like the DEA, by demand, has taken intelligence to be their responsibility so that we can deferr our own responsibility to think and act towards our own survival and well being. "I get the credit and the Devil gets the blame..but God's running the show?" When laws are passed against stupidity, stupidity abounds and multiplies. No law or power structure has ever made an idiot smart. Why is it that we can't just let stupid people be stupid and take the results? Why is it that another persons life is more valuable to us than it is to them? Learn or die, ya know? One way to be above the law is to quietly exceed their requirements. [That is, make your choices for yourself and shut up about it even if they're bad choices and don't make choices for others.] No matter what you do, you cannot protect me from me. That's really the way it all works anyhow, even though billions are spent and millions are jailed trying to convince otherwise. The system that doesn't work will self destruct leaving behind those who are not self destructive...any system, big or little, personal or public. It's the delaying tactics , the buck passings that are so painful.
