The ONLY thing that will measure PPM accurately at a reasonable cost is a
spectrophotometer. Hanna makes one for $150.00 a single frequency model
which would work excellently for silver. The chemicals will cost another
$105.00 plus another $20.00 for some glassware. If you go that route I can
supply you with a NBS certified sample to set up you spect.

For gold you will have to use Kinball labs as it must be done with an AA
device.
