Hi from Joe: Have in my hand the $1 Radio Shack motor. It has a .225" long shaft with .077" diameter. Have considered hiring a machine shop to build a shaft extension from a 1/4" S.S. bolt - drill to size & tap a setscrew hole, shaft hole must be concentric. Do any of you know of a source for an extension of maybe 2" with or without an impeller?
Have ordered a transformer w 5.0 V secondary. Label says it likes .9 amps at full load which should make 8300 RPM. What's cheap & works ok for a speed control? Thanks.
