I am seeing a pattern on this list .......everyone for some strange reason
seems to believe that the God of the old testament isn't the same as the God
of the new testament. I can assure you that Jesus in no way wanted to do
away with the law. That is why he made appearances throughout the old
testament to different people. That is why Genesis 1:1 is speaking of him.
That is the beauty of the bible. I do understand that many words in the
bible are very confusing to the unsaved person.....but don't be fooled into
thinking that the old testament law has been done away with. The only one
who believes that is Man.....not God.
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am
not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
I hope that no one here is under the impression that Jesus made his first
appearance when he was born as a man 2000 years ago................
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord,
which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the
beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain
of the water of life freely.
Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the
last.
Jesus made many many appearances in the old testament........the law still
applies.........don't count on your childhood baptism to save you.....don't
count on how wonderful your mother is...........don't believe that you will
come back again as someone else...{reincarnation}..........that is simply
not going to happen.....
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the
judgment:
and don't believe that because you have given to charities......or that you
are a nice person.........because that won't save you either........
Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to
his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy Ghost;
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good
works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them
I hope this helps someone..........Robb
