my brother and i both had extremely low zinc levels growing up which
we discoverd later.
in his case i believe the zinc deficiency caused a hormone imbalance
that manifested
itself as acne. zinc deficiency has been associated with acne at some times.
he had very extensive acne. my mom had it to when she was growing up
and with dermatolgical treatment and growth she eventually became a
very attractive lady.
