In my opinion, it's the occasional pimple that is OK to treat with something quick. But if it's a chronic problem, it indicates a deep cause. And I seriously doubt many people would start working on the deeper problems if they find a quick fix. What would the motivation and how would they judge how well their approach is working? Instead, they would just think that they don't have the problem anymore and continue living they way they used to, with the root cause unaddressed, and it will be more serious later on. Miopic vision is likely to lead to only short term benefits but possible terrible long term results. And if one can't handle acne, I wonder how the same person would handle a more serious disease. My guess is not very well.
