Jay, I don't think you are paying attention here. In your desperation to find a way to stop the acne ASAP, your mind isn't open to thinking about root causes. Slow down, I'd actually recommend stopping nearly everything you are doing, except the CS, and give your body a rest for a couple of weeks. This piling on of treatment after treatment, breaking the bank to buy a zapper, ozonator, etc, is just like a dog chasing its tail, it is piling on stress and anxiety, and may actually be exacerbating your condition. Some of the supplements you say you take sound like huge overdoses to me, and may be part of the problem, especially if you have hidden allergies to any of the ingredients. And with all of it you still have not posted any true detailed info on your diet, which you say is minimal, as you "hate all food", but you do say you drink milk. Most milk and other dairy contains enough resudual antibiotics to create resistant bacteria in the body. And people allergic to penicillin can and have actually experienced penicillin allergy reactions to ingestion of dairy products. With inadequate nutritional intake, your body cannot heal. No matter how many vitamins you take. No matter if you zap yourself into next week, or ozone yourself till you croak. For one example: I have read that iodine is implicated in acne, on either end of the spectrum--too much can cause the same condition as too little. Do you smoke? Smoking constricts the capillaries to such an extent that healing is greatly impaired, as is the capacity of the skin and other organs to flush toxins. Please do not think I belittle your panic, anxiety, and wish to be healed of your problem. I have suffered myself from acne, not as severe perhaps, but bad enough, and I have one brother who had acne like you describe, who has bad scars on his face. So there may indeed be a genetic component. Myself, I now have eczema on my face as well as other places. Sorta looks like roseacea. Finally, at almost 60, I have been addressing underlying causes for about 9 months now. Those of us who are urging you to slow down, try one thing at a time, and get a grip, are not speaking from indifference, or lack of sympathy, some of us speak from painful experience. If you have read this far, let me tell you I still get blemishes (mostly when I have cheated on my diet). I have found a mix of CS/DMSO in approximately 90 % CS, 10% DMSO to be very helpful. I dab the mixture on with a Q-tip, 2 or 3 times a day, directly on the blemish. I would not use this mix as a facial spray. Nor would I use it much stronger for the face, or for already raw, painful skin, as the DMSO can burn and be very painful. What it does is to allow the CS to penetrate the surface tissues and get to the infection. Skin must be very clean, no other anything put on the skin first, etc, since the DMSO can transport other chemicals through the skin as well, which you dont' want. paula ----- Original Message ----- From: jay ice To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, April 17, 2003 5:50 PM Subject: Re: CS>Re acne treatment
