I really just want to know if there is a reason NOT to mix CS and saline. If CS is administered intravenously, isn't that done in a saline solution? I just don't want to come up with some harmful new chemical by putting the CS into saline. The comfort factor is not a concern to me - a few seconds or minutes discomfort cannot compare to how this has adversely affected my life for the past several months. Comments?

Thanks!

Kim

The only problem with DW in the eyes etc is that it upsets the saline balance for a few seconds and can be uncomfortable.[Not nearly like swimming in a chlorine pool]
 But it not harmful.
CS stings the eyes and irritates sinuses the same as distilled water does.
Snorting salt water does the same thing but upsets the balance the other way towards too salty.
 No harm there either.
