I had similar digestive issues and found much useful information in
"Allergies and Candida" by Stephen Rochlitz, PhD. He covers much about
HCl and digestive enzymes being part of the down ward spiral that can
lead to Candida Overgrowth. He also has an interesting set of Meridian
Balancing moves that helped him recover from his near fatal CO. I have
done them and they are pretty impressive for the little time it takes.
Sometimes one session is enough.

The idea behind them is that many of us lack left right and mind body
integration. Perhaps because of playpens, walking shoes and walkers,
lack of cross crawl (as opposed to the initial lateral crawl) the
integration / coordination did not happen. I always felt a little clumsy
and the moves did make me feel like I was learning all over again. They
were difficult at first but then easy.

The book is out of print but he has a website and the book might be
around in used book stores.
