If you're not using current control, starting with warm water, which is significantly more conductive than cold water, will get the runaway ramp up going at a faster spot on the acceleration curve.
I find a change of about 3 microsiemens change in conductivity per 10 degrees F of temperature.
Excessive Brownian motion from excessive heat energy may cause particle collisions at lower concentrations. The threshold seems to be somewhere around 110 deg F at 10-15 PPM.
