Technically speaking..that would be electrode "crud"
and the tiny bits of it floating about in a laser beam would be "sparklies"
 If the crud makes it to the top and stays there as a silver skin, we have
a "floatie"
 ;-)

 Sludge and mud would be similar with mud being thick sludge.
..essentially septic tank terms and appropriately so.
 If it looks like crap, it is. [Don't put it in your septic tank or any
other system that depends on digestion]

..just to put a definition of the scientific terms, mind you. LOL
