That definition may be good for the S&M crowd, but for techs a tweak is normally something much more subtle. I think originally it referred to the twisting of a pot (a variable control) or a screw to shift the result to what was wanted. For instance, my VCR started dropping out a few days ago, so I removed the cover and found a screw that moved the tape up and down by a few thousanths of an inch. I "tweaked" the screw moving the tape up by an amount I could not even see, and it fixed it. Marshall
