There is not a vaccine available against this new canine influenza. So they are giving incorrect info if they were telling you to get your dog a shot. I have been aware of this new virus for a couple of months. A couple of weeks ago I had a dog entered at a dog show in NJ and just changed her drinking water to CS a couple of day before the shows and also kept that up for several days afterwards and she was fine and she is vaccine free. I did hear of other dogs who attended the same show picked up the virus there.

Yeh, I saw something on the news about it, and they said to get your dog a shot. The shot they showed they were giving to the dog came from a vial labeled distemper, which I thought was really odd.
