If you have any evidence to support this statement, I would be very glad to read it.

Because I teach young people in Japanese universities, I try to keep very well informed about AIDS in Japan, and am in touch with several first-rate, hard-working activists in Tokyo. I have lectured once or twice to my students about AIDS (usually on World AIDS Day), and try to keep them informed about the risks of casual sex.

I know of no evidence whatsoever to support this shocking statement. I think it is very dangerous misinformation.

Young people who have many "Sekkusu Tomo" (sex friends), and who don't use condoms (sales are plummeting even as the AIDS rate rises) are clearly the ones at risk for AIDS and related diseases, which include several new and nasty types of hepatitis.

Again, please provide any information you may find to support this disturbing statement.
