Endolimax nana has a world-wide distribution and is          considered 
          an harmless commensal of the intestine.
  
  Once long ago our well had coliform bacteria and the health department  said 
for us to put some gallons of bleach into the well, then drain it  out till you 
can't smell any of it.  Then everything was  fine.  But we haven't had it 
tested for anything else.  They  will do that at the health department for a 
fee in SC.
  
 A  reverse osmosis filter for drinking water can be easily installed under  
the kitchen sink.  It's not effective for coliform though, so  might not be for 
some other things.
