Hi Debbie, You need to give more info on situation before someone could responsibly advice on details for proper course of treatment. Type and duration of cough, infection, fever etc etc? Do not wait and let this get any worse, please. Even though honey is in itself warming and astringent, some types more than others, too liberal use of it in these situations can also compromise the immune system in such a situation due to the way simple sugars can negatively influence the activity of the immune system. I would advise immediate diagnosis and treatment through ayurvedic herbal medicine. Please consult a qualified physician.
