what is morton salt and where can someone find it?

At one time these monster toads(one toad was in flower garden(5lbs.) were
prop-
agating so fast that we had to take dire measures for our small children
as
well as
all the pets. When I spied one I would have water spray bottle on hand and
some
Morton salt. I'd spray the toad then drop a handfull of salt on them. The
next time
I saw them they were like petrified(dried up).
