If you are interested in considering other options, here's a little info for
you.

In recent years Russians seem to have developed quite a liking to cleansing,
purifying, enhancing, and otherwise manipulating water. One method that is
popular is the use of flint - or so my dictionary translates the Russian
word KREMEN. I've done all my research in Russian and have no idea what you
can find in English. You'll have to google yourself.

Water treated with this stone - i.e. you put a few chopped pieces in a
bucket with water and keep it for 2-7 days - is said to be imparted with all
sorts of wondrous properties. Among other things germ elimination occurs. It
is reported that people put this stone into their wells to purify water.
